10/31/2022 0 Comments Funny words of wisdom for work#21 If anyone I know can set a record for the fastest-post-surgery healing time, it’s you. Although maybe not so fast that you need a neck brace or more surgery. #20 I hope your recovery from surgery happens at a breakneck pace, so fast it nearly gives you whiplash. #19 Medical procedures tend to be the opposite of fun, but hopefully, now you can look ahead to brighter times without “surgery” penciled into the calendar. I’m sending healing thoughts and wishes your way along with a gentle, non-painful hug. #18 I am so sorry to learn that you needed surgery and hope that you recover quickly. I hope that’s the case for you and that you’re up and about before long. #17 According to the dictionary, operations are for the restoration of health. Let us shower you with the affection and kindness you deserve. We want to support you in your recovery in whatever way is best. Please know that whatever happens, we love you and cherish you. #16 Health is such a gift, and yet love is even more precious. Probably not as much as you ache from the actual surgery, though! I hope the procedure was quick, clean, and set the stage for a speedy recovery. #15 It makes my heart ache to think of you having surgery. Until then, rest, recover and know that you’re in my thoughts. When you’re ready for a call or a visitor, I’d love to know how you’re doing. #14 Just a quick note to say I’m thinking of you and hoping that your procedure went well. I hope it’s a well-paved one without any bumps or sudden turns. #13 Surgery in all its forms is unpleasant, but hopefully, the hardest part is behind you, and now you’re on the road to recovery. We cannot wait to see you and bring a smile to your sweet face once more. It can be draining emotionally too, so I hope that these words of love and affirmation will lift your spirits and fill your cup. #12 No doubt, you are exhausted after your surgery. May you recover with ease to a state of lightness and joy. #11 Flowers may brighten a room, but they pale in comparison to the light you bring. Words may not be the same as a giant hug, but hopefully, this message gives you at least a bit of that warm, fuzzy feeling. #10 As you move forward from surgery, know that you are cared for, thought of, and supported. May it see you through recovery and beyond without strain. Your spirit is one of the strongest around. #9 Surgery may break the skin, but it leaves the spirit intact and the second helps to heal the first. I hope that you’re buoyed by positive thoughts from friends, family, and all of us who care about you and that your energy returns so you can sail through recovery. FUNNY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR WORK FULL#8 Surgery can take it out of you, and recovery can be full of challenges. Please consider this the written equivalent of a kiss to make it better. Yet the sentiment that our parents often shared – to kiss and make our wounds better – may be just as effective. #7 The bandages that covered our cuts and scrapes as kids may not be enough to close up a surgical wound. I look forward to seeing you again when you’re ready. Now that you’ve survived surgery, I hope the healing journey brings you great strength in body and soul. #6 It’s said that what does not kill us makes us stronger. Sending best wishes for a quick recovery. #5 Wouldn’t it be great if life were like a video game and drinking a potion or using a power-up would immediately bring recovery to full health? If I could mix you an elixir or hand you a magic heart to get you past this post-surgery period, I’d do so in an instant. I am sending best wishes for a comfortable recovery. I hope you’re now beyond the worry and into a more relaxed state of healing. #4 Medical procedures are often a cause for anxiety beforehand and one for relief thereafter. I am a call or text away if you feel up to talking. Or, at the very least, may the pain medicine be helpful. #3 As you come out of surgery, may the scarring be small, the pain minimal, the nurse caring, the doctor friendly, the recovery swift, and the outcome an improvement. I am one of those people, cheerleading for you to come through this current challenge. However, one thing is sure, and that is the fact that it is still a beautiful world, filled with the love of those who hold you dear. #2 Life can sometimes feel a little uncertain. I am sending you warm wishes for healing and comfort. I hope you have more sunny days than dreary, and that the shadow of surgery vanishes quickly. #1 Sending uplifting thoughts of pain-free days filled with good health as you recover from your operation. Bicycling Home, My Journey to Find God, was not written as a sequel to Across America on the Yellow Brick Road -they stand alone-but it is definitely a continuation of my inner journey. My search for God became a full-blown, inner wildfire of longing after a nighttime dream of God coming to me when I was 30. O daring joy, but safe! Are they not all the seas of God?Įxploring the inner life is a kind of vocation for me. There are many paths to our spiritual homes, and many names for God (I’m not out to convert anyone!) and I have been, and continue to be, guided and inspired by the wisdom teachings of many spiritual traditions. While my particular spiritual journey turns out to be intimately connected with Christ and Christianity, I consider myself a spiritually independent Christian. My most memorable experiences, without a doubt, are the two bike trip adventures, which are recounted in my two books. These characteristics have led me to engage in extremely rewarding and engrossing work: in politics, as a congressional aide in business, as co-founder of a restaurant and education center in the arts as an author, painter, printer and publisher. Do I feel that I have fulfilled my life's purpose? What am I most proud of? Those are big questions but I can say I’m especially glad that I have taken risks, that I have followed my heart, and followed inspirations even if they seemed far-fetched. To get an overview of my life I sometimes like to imagine how I will feel as I am near departure from this earthly place. That’s my quick ‘n easy “biography.” But what’s more interesting to me-and perhaps you as well-is a brief look at the bigger and deeper picture of my 65 years on the planet. I am a California native, and have lived in New Mexico with my husband and family of animals for almost 30 years. |
